brushes

I wear makeup almost every day and am cleaning mass quantities of brushes once a week.  I thoroughly wash when I can, but in a pinch, I love to use an alcohol based spray.  I got fed up with paying the ridiculous prices for these extremely easy to brush cleaning solutions, so I ventured out to make my own, and I LOVE IT.  Never buy those sprays again!  Here’s how to make your own!!

What you will need:

Bottle of isopropyl rubbing alcohol

Bottle of distilled water

Large measuring cup

funnel

empty and clean spray bottle

a fragrance oil of your choice

Instructions:

1 .  Pour 6 ounces of alcohol into measuring cup

  1. Add 2 ounces of distilled water
  2. Add 15-20 drops of your oil- this makes the spray smell better and keeps your bristles softer and conditioned
  3. Mix together and pour (using your funnel) into your spray bottle…

THAT’S IT!
