I purchased Bioderma online in February of last year. I used it up long ago, but am just now getting around to writing a review. I thought it was important to do a review this because I’ve heard a lot of conflicting information about this product on beauty blogs, on youtube and amongst other beauty fanatics- some claim its a makeup remover, some say it’s not supposed to be used for that, other say its a solution you use after you’ve washed your face…

I am no authority but here’s my take on it- French pharmaceutical corporation Bioderma Laboratories has developed Bioderma Crealine H2O (now called Sensibio H2O) as a cleanser, toner and makeup remover in one. You can use it however you wish.
As a makeup remover, it is extremely gentle but does an excellent job removing even the toughest waterproof makeup. As a cleanser, it also does a good job of unclogging pores and leaving your skin soft, without any irritation- all without having to rinse your face. As a toner, after you’ve washed your face, Bioderma is good for getting any bits of dirt or makeup you’ve missed and evening out any redness caused by your cleanser.

Bioderma looks and feels like water, is fragrance free and paraben free. I used this entire bottle as a makeup remover only. Once it was gone, I then went back to Shiseido makeup remover, then through a bottle of Neutrogena. I found that I didn’t like either one as much as I Had before. I miss my Bioderma and I will be purchasing it again. I find myself going through more cotton pads and doing a lot more rubbing to remove makeup when I use other brands of removers.

2 things that I think are important to mention:

Bioderma is not formulated for oily skin. If this is your type of skin tone, you may find that it doesn’t do a good job of removing oil.

I wouldn’t recommend buying Bioderma on Amazon or Ebay if you live in the U.S. The popularity of this product in America has sky rocketed and there are a lot of fakes out there. You might be better off buying from an online cosmetics site like UK site http://www.escentual.com or Australian site http://www.adorebeauty.com. Although you will pay more in shipping, it will ensure that you receive an authentic product.

How do YOU feel about Bioderma? Love it? Hate it? Or just sick of hearing about it? πŸ™‚
