Wow- October 6th and I’m just getting around to putting this up now- my bad. September was a chaotic, stressful month for me. Exams, a crabby almost 2 year old, illnesses in the house and a family member staying with us for an extended period of time all kind of combined into one big sh*tstorm. The crazyness made it kind of difficult to choose my favorites, because like everything else going on, my preferences this last month have been a bit…scattered.
The items I chose range from old reliables, to rediscoveries to totally, wonderfully unexpected “OMG I LOVE THIS” stuff.

Anna Sui Cotton Sheets, 60 ct. box : The price might be a bit high for cotton pads, but Holy Crap, these are luxurious. They are 100% cotton and have a very large surface area to work with. Not only are they the softest pads I’ve ever used, but they are gentle enough for the eye area and don’t pill up at all. Plus, the box is printed in a gorgeous lavender, nice enough to keep out on the counter if I’m being lazy about putting things away. ($8.00 http://www.beauty.com)

Spa Comforts Midnight Aromatherapy Mask : I am wear a mask at night quite often and have a number of them that I switch back and forth. This one has been my favorite lately. The mask is pillowy and soft, filled with chamomile and lavender scents to promote sleep. The fact that it’s oversized helps to block out more light and it sits nicely on my face without being too tight or too lose.
($9.54 http://www.amazon.com)

Guerlain Meteorites Perles : This was an impulse buy that I actually ended up loving- swirl a large powder brush in the multicolored beads and your brush comes away with a funky pink, green and purple powder combination- on the skin, it just looks gorgeous and totally natural. It illuminates my skin while evening out patches of red across my chin and purple under my eyes. I love using it on days where I simply don’t have time to put on a full face of makeup.
($60.00 http://www.sephora.com)

Thierry Mugler Alien, Eau de Parfum (deluxe sample size) : While cycling out my summer scents, I started looking through my perfume samples to find something I might be interested in for autumn. After putting 5 or 6 to the test and not being impressed with any of them, I stumbled upon this little gem. What a GORGEOUS scent! I am a big fan of musky amber fragrances but this one is unique because it manages to blend with a strong floral, giving it a much more girly smell then most musky or spicy perfumes for women. Thierry Mugler fragrances are known for their staying power and this definitely lived up to that! (1 oz, $80.00 http://www.muglerusa.com)

Sigma Large Angled Contour Brush f40 (Mrs. Bunny Collection) : Hot Damn, this is the best contour brush I’ve ever used. The price is very, very reasonable and the quality is fantastic- the bristles are super soft while still being dense enough to actually help blend powder in along my hairline and cheek bones. You can’t go wrong with Sigma brushes and this cute little dude is one of their best. ($22.00 http://www.sigmabeauty.com)
