Yay for FREE STUFF....and that pointless tiny water bottle makes me laugh.

Yay for FREE STUFF….and that pointless tiny water bottle makes me laugh.

I love this store so much, it’s scary.

Sephora’s VIB Rouge members were invited this last Sunday morning to a closed-door event…I have got to say, I’ve never seen so many Fake-A** Louis Vuitton Bags in the same room!! 🙂
OOOOooooo, snarky.
seriously though, it was nice.
Breakfast treats and beverages. 15% off everything. Experts from Philosophy, Benefit and St. Tropez. Good times.
Despite that great discount, I tried to keep it under control and only picked up a couple things…

A few necessities, one item I needed to restock and okay, like...3 splurges. That's all though. I swear to God.

Onward.

Ciate Dolls House Collection minis. L-R: Poppet, Dollface, Paper Doll, Baby Doll & Sweet Pea.

Ciate Dolls House Collection minis. L-R: Poppet, Dollface, Paper Doll, Baby Doll & Sweet Pea.

That got me about these polishes from UK company Ciate wasn’t so much the colors or the packaging, but the finish. These have a porcelain, almost totally matte finish that I find super, super cool. It kind of takes the annoying edge off the girlyness of the colors. For $25 too, it’s really fun to be able to try all the colors. Based on my at-home experiments, I think I like the beige shade, Dollface, the most so far.

Too Faced Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush in Peach Beach.

Too Faced Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush in Peach Beach.

Damn it, WHY does this have to be in a bubbly little heart shape? How am I supposed to not get it? Really though, I have very few peach blushes. Swiped any which way, the finish is beautiful and glowy. The best way for me to describe this product would be to say if Dior’s Poudre Shimmer Powder had a third member of a group, along with a bronzy and a rosy, it would be like this color. Very warm, shimmery finish to it, great for warmer weather. $30

Kat Von D Lock 'N Load Makeup Setting Mist.

Kat Von D Lock ‘N Load Makeup Setting Mist.

Haven’t used this yet, but I’ve heard good things. I own a couple of Kat Von D products and they seem to be of good quality….plus, let’s be honest, girl wears a TON of makeup and I’m betting she’d sure like to develop a product that is going to keep it on her face. $24

Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream.

Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream.

I am currently on the market for a new eye cream, and recently sample products from Korean company Sulwhasoo has convinced me of the amazing power of ginseng, so I thought I’d give this a try. What I am the most interested in is the brightening aspect. I don’t have a problem with bags under my eyes as much as darkness. $30

Also picked up a sample of…

Benefit's Big Easy Liquid to Powder Multi-Balancing Complexion Perfector.

Benefit’s Big Easy Liquid to Powder Multi-Balancing Complexion Perfector.

I don’t usually cash in points for small stuff because I have hundreds of unused samples, but I’m curious about this product. SPF 35 is higher than any other tinted moisturizer I have, and I’m assuming that this product has more of that type of finish than a true full coverage foundation….hmmm, we shall see how it goes. 🙂

LoveMarc Lip Gel by Marc Jacobs in "Dizzy Spell"

LoveMarc Lip Gel by Marc Jacobs in “Dizzy Spell”

Haven’t put this “lip gel” to a serious test yet, but holy high prices. Love the shade though. It has more of a pinky pink, natural lip tone going on than both MAC Shy Girl and NARS Honolulu Honey and the finish has just the right amount of shine.
